Upcoming Gallery Show

This August MDT will present their latest gallery show, a selection from "At the Heart of the City: Western Avenue in 24 Paintings" by Jane Sloss of MDT.  An opening reception will be held Wednesday, August 8th, from 5-8 PM.  At the Heart of the City is a series of 24 watercolor paintings, one to document each mile of Western Avenue, Chicago's longest street.  While not considered to be among the most "beautiful" of Chicago's streets, Western is a perfect place to document the humanness of Chicago, the positive and negative.  These paintings were shown previously at the Beverly Arts Center and were supported by City of Chicago CAAP and Illinois Arts Council Grants.
